The Company:

BK Shanae Candle Co. is a Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Mobile candle-pouring company, founded with love, purpose, and a deep commitment to the community by a proud Lancaster native: Brooklyn Smith-Jones.

BK Shanae Candle Co. is your typical retail candle company with a ✨TWIST✨. Imagine visiting a candle store with friends, smelling the aroma of 30+ scents, selecting a candle vessel, and making a custom candle. That’s it, thats the twist! YOU get to pour your own candles.

The Product:

BK Shanae Candle Co. produces coconut-soy candles using fragrances that are free of suspected carcinogens and toxins. These candles are also the catalyst for the experience provided during the DIY Candle Pouring Workshop.

The Owner:

Brooklyn Smith-Jones is a School District of Lancaster (SDoL) alum and Franklin & Marshall College graduate. 

A Note from the owner:

"Being raised by a single mom who worked three jobs to provide for us shaped my outlook on life. There were nights I barely saw her, but her resilience and dedication left a lasting impression on me. Watching her sacrifice so much fueled my drive to break the cycle and change my life’s trajectory, and be a role model to my siblings.

I made it my mission to create opportunities for myself and to build something meaningful—not just for me, but for others who share similar experiences. My journey is rooted in hard work, empowerment, and a commitment to turning challenges into success. Through this business, I hope to inspire others to dream big and take charge of their own futures, no matter where they start.

My goal is for BK Shanae Candle Co. to be a positive force and gathering place, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to pour, create, and connect in a space where dreams are ignited, and possibilities are illuminated."

THE VISION:

The ultimate goal is for BK Shanae Candle Co. to expand into a thriving brick-and-mortar storefront, and a nationally recognized retail brand (Did you know BK Shanae candles have already made it to Charlotte, North Carolina and Virginia?)

For now, BK Shane Candle Co. is a mobile company that:

• Provides an experience for customers to create their own candles

• Travels to locations selected by customers, to lead private candle pouring events (venues, homes, corporate spaces, etc.)

• Presents monthly pop-up candle pouring workshops in Lancaster, PA

• Provides a premium line of handcrafted candles sold online across the country.
